Kelowna

Well, my husbands work sent everyone to Kelowna for a retreat.  There I was (I believe) 105 that went.  We took West Jet to and from.  I thought for sure they would be all crazy, and the other passengers would be looking for escape routes...lol.  Its a good thing it is only a 45 minute flight, or I am sure there would have been a rowdy party on board!

We stayed at the Grand Okanagon Resort and Spa, it is in Downtown Kelowna.  Brad went Golfing on friday, while I joined a group of 25 on a 24 kilometer bike tour.  Well let me rephrase that, a winery bike tour.  It was a lot of fun, but after the first winery it got more interesting.   The view of the mountains were, not as important as making sure you didn't fall of the cliffs.  After the second winery we hit, I was wishing I would of ate breakfast...lol.  When we finally hit Penticton, with 25 tipsy Edmontonians.  We had to go through Pentictons downtown core to get to the resturant that was in a light house on the water where we would be eating and ending our bike tour.  We had to go around a round about.  That was humerous.  I am sure glad the cars were patient that day, I am sure we came out of no where.  That was the most interesting 8 hours ever!

We got back to the hotel at about 4:30pm where we had 2.5 hours to get ready for a group dinner.  It was at this amazing Italian resturant not to far from the hotel.  The food was coming non-stop, as well as the wine. For four hours there was food coming and going from the table with out time to digest.  But delicous.  I could hardly keep by eyes open by the end.

We had a chance to rent a car the next day and do our own thing.  Where we shopped, and had some lunch.  But for the most part we just took advantage of the mountains and hiked.  It was definitley perfect weather to do just that.  It made me realize how nice it would be to pick up the family and relocate there.  I am sure in a few years it will be definitley possible to do just that.  Just have to plan!
